What are Coach Jazz’ s training principles?

I believe that multi-dimensional fitness makes for an optimally functional and confident body. Coach Jazz integrates these 6 principles into her coaching philosophy: aerobic conditioning, strength, postural alignment, recovery, sustainable nutrition, and mind-body connection. Her goal is for every client to feel and look more confident in the gym and in their day to day lives. Empowering women to regain control of their lives is part of her life’s work.

Does Coach Jazz only coach women?

Yes, Coach Jazz coaches women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s to achieve their optimal functional health. Coach Jazz also coaches teenagers to maximize their speed and power for sports performance.

How many sessions do I need per week?

To achieve significant strides towards your fitness goals 3 sessions per week is recommended. 2 sessions per week is recommended for those who would like to maintain their overall fitness, hence the 2 session per week minimum. In person sessions can be combined with Personalized Custom Programming or Virtual sessions.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Coach Jazz accepts Visa, Mastercard, or Debit directly through the Jane App or Interac electronic transfer. Billing occurs per session by the end of that business day. E-transfers must be sent before departure immediately after your session.

Do I need a gym membership to train with you in person?

A gym membership is not needed to train with Coach Jazz at Dwell Gym or Omega Health and Fitness. However, if you would like to train at Dwell on your own, my clients receive a discounted rate. Please inquire for more information.

What is the difference between Personalized Online Programming, Virtual Personal Training, In-Person Training, and Partner Training?

Personalized Online Programming consists of a custom-made program that is created for your unique needs. It is delivered using an app and is best for those who are experienced in the gym, but have plateaued or are too mentally exhausted to make their own progressive program.

Virtual Personal training consists of a one-on-one personal training using the Google Meets platform. This is best for those with at least a moderate amount of fitness experience, but want the convenience of not having to meet at the gym. This options tends to attract clients who have home equipment or a condo/apartment gym.

In-Person Training consists of one-on-one coaching at Dwell Gym. This is best for clients who need the accountability or prefer the hands on approach.

Partner Training is for those who want to train with their partner, spouse, friend, or a family member. This is great for those who have an accountability partner on the same journey or who simply do not like working out alone. Partners are not provided.

How does the Personalized Online Programming Work?

Similarly to the in-person sessions, Personalized Online Programming begins with a comprehensive fitness assessment. This allows Coach Jazz to gather the information needed to create your custom program. It is ideal for this assessment to be done in person, however it can be done virtually. 7 days after your assessment your program will be ready in the app. We build out the program in 4 week blocks.
